In Maple Class this year we have Mrs De La Salle and Mrs Bolter, Mrs Perkins, Mrs Locke and Miss Mahoney.

We are having an amazing time in Maple Class and we cannot wait to show everyone all the things we will learn and achieve this year.

We hope to make lots of progress this year in our number work and reading and writing activities. 

We always try our best and strive to impress the adults in our classroom.

In Cherry class this year we have Miss Startin, Miss Gardiner and Miss Samuroff.

We have settled into Year One really well. We all really enjoy coming to school and look forward to completing all the activities that our teachers plan for us.

The Snug staff are Miss Peck, Miss Lockhart, Miss Reynolds, Miss Tomkins, Mrs Gayle and Mrs Constable.

Our PE day is Thursday.

Please remember the children are to come into school wearing their PE kit on their PE day. This should be their normal school top half uniform with leggings or joggers and trainers/plimsolls.

What are the homework expectations in Year 1?

• Read phonics book daily
• Read your reading book daily or at least 4 times a week
• Watch all the phonic's videos which are sent home on a Friday (QR codes)
• Access all assignments on Edshed, these are set on a Friday and are linked to the weeks learning in Phonics, Maths and English.

As a class we are working towards a reward, to achieve this we need to gain 100 ticks for being the best we can be. We are ALL very excited to achieve this!
