This afternoon, Hazel Class started their new Art topic!

This term we will be learning all about different printing techniques and exploring the printing work of Andy Warhol. During our lesson today we started by exploring different techniques such as using cardboard, polystyrene and sponges! We experimented with adding string onto the cardboard to make a shape and making dents and holes in the polystyrene to see what pictures we could make.

Year 2 had a lovely playtime in the sunshine. They showed great teamwork and worked well together.

Yesterday in PE, Year 2 continued their Gymnastics unit by starting to use low apparatus. We used the shapes we learnt last week to begin exploring how they changed when we tried to do them on the apparatus. Ask your child if they can remember how to do a; tuck, star, straight, straddle and pike!

In computing in Beech Class today we used a digital binary tree to find out the names of animals and children by answering yes no questions.

Beech class really enjoyed making arrays in Maths using practical resources. We explored different ways of making the same number and showed good team work skills.
